On 2 February, one novel coronavirus patient was cured and became the first to be discharged from hospital in Tianjin.

The man went to the emergency department due to fever, and was transferred to Haihe Hospital after being confirmed infected with the novel coronavirus. After careful treatment and nursing, the patient's condition and respiratory symptoms continued to improve. His chest scan showed absorption of lesions, laboratory indexes were normal, and two nucleic tests were negative. Experts thus assessed that the patient met the standard of lifting the quarantine and was released at 16:40 on 2 February.
