The Tianjin Commission of Commerce and the Tianjin Administration for Market Regulation have issued the Urgent Notice on Strengthening the Epidemic Prevention and Control in Small Shops and Markets in Tianjin, in a fresh effort to contain the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP).
Since Tianjin activated the Level I public health emergency response, the people’s governments of all districts, according to the unified planning and requirements of the municipal headquarters of epidemic prevention and control, have been committed to fighting the disease. After inspection, however, it was found that some small shops and markets across the city lack infection prevention and control. Some citizens still enter or leave those places without a mask. The authorities have thus decided to impose new rules.
Have body temperature measured
All personnel to enter small shops and markets, including merchants, employees and customers, shall have their body temperature measured first. Anyone whose body temperature is higher than 37.3℃ is forbidden to enter and shall be investigated and reported in time.
Wear a mask
All personnel entering shops and markets, including merchants, employees and customers, shall wear a mask.
Strengthen ventilation and disinfection
Shops and markets shall reinforce ventilation to keep the indoor air fresh and odorless while improving environmental sanitation and thoroughly cleaning up dead corners.
Promote epidemic prevention and control
Shops and small markets shall publicize the knowledge on epidemic prevention and control by bulletin boards, electronic display screens, etc. to guide merchants, employees and customers to develop healthy habits of mask wearing, regular hand washing and frequent ventilation.
Implement the responsibility of epidemic prevention and control
Shops and markets shall assign or specify personnel responsible for supervising body temperature measurement and mask wearing. Anyone refusing to have body temperature measured or wear a mask shall be refused entry; anyone caught attempting to break in and disrupt the order of epidemic prevention and control shall be reported to the police in time.
