The proportions of patients cured from the novel coronavirus in Hubei Province and its capital city of Wuhan, the epicenter of the epidemic and across the country have all risen significantly, Mi Feng, a spokesman from the National Health Commission(NHC), said at a press conference held by the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council on Feb 10. The cure rate across China has risen to 8.2 percent from 1.3 percent on Jan. 27.
The rate in Hubei Province has risen to 6.1 percent from 1.7 percent on Jan. 27.
The rate in Wuhan has risen to 6.2 percent from 2.6 percent on Jan. 27.
Mi said that the data shows the medical treatment around the country has been effective. He added that the treatment capacity in Wuhan and Hubei has been remarkably improved as medical support was strengthened and various measures were taken to increase bed supply for patients.
