One additional case of Covid-19 was confirmed from 20:00, 12 to 6:00, 13 February, bringing the total of Covid-19 cases in Tianjin to 113, according to the Tianjin Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
The 113rd case is an 85-year-old male who lives in Ruijing Neighborhood Community, Beichen District without travel or working history to Wuhan. He was husband of the 100th case, father-in-law of the 103rd case and father of the 108th case. He was sent to the central quarantine area in Shuangkou Town, Beichen District on 11 February and to the fever clinic of Beichen Hospital of TCM on the evening due to the fever symptom, diagnosed as a suspected case. The stayed at the hospital for medical observation. He was tested positive for the virus on 12 February and was confirmed as the 103rd case, in common conditions, in Tianjin by the expert panel. No close contacts of the patient have been traced for he showed the signs of the disease during quarantine in the hospital. And terminal disinfection was conducted to the patient’s house.
Tianjin has confirmed a total of 113 Covid-19 cases so far, among which 61 are males and 52 females, with 3 in critical conditions, 29 in severe conditions, 66 in common conditions and 1 in moderate conditions. 11 patients were discharged from hospital after recovery and 3 died. 363 people are suspected of being infected with the virus. A total of 1,221 close contacts have been traced, and among them, 34 are confirmed cases, 439 have been released from medical observation and 748 others are still under observation.
