According to the Importance Notices by the United Airlines(UA), UA has decided to suspend its flights to and from Beijing, Chengdu, Hong Kong and Shanghai until April 24 after an evaluation was made to the operation of these flights.
UA will pose travel restrictions on tourists who have been to China over the past 14 days. U.S citizens or legal permanent residents of the U.S. must undergo additional restrictions and health screening when they arrive in the U.S. Non-US citizens who have visited the Chinese mainland in the past 14 days are not allowed to enter the U.S.
Sales of tickets for MileagePlus bonus award miles and flights between the U.S. and China will also be suspended until April 24.
The Notices point out that UA will waive change fees or refund for passengers coming to or from certain Asian cities and it suggests that international passengers reserve extra waiting time prior to flight departure.
