【结好时间】1995年天津市与大多伦多市签署建立友好城市关系意向书，1996年，天津市与大多伦多市签署建立友好交流与合作关系协议书，正式缔结友好关系。

【城市特色】大多伦多市是加拿大安大略省的省会，也是大多伦多地区的经济中心，它地处世界上最大淡水湖群——北美五大湖的中心安大略湖的西北岸，地势平坦，风景秀丽。汽车工业、电子工业、金融业及旅游业在多伦多经济中占有重要地位，文化艺术繁荣也是多伦多的一大特点。

1999年，大多伦多市终止与天津的交往。
