【城市特色】普罗夫迪夫大区在人口及经济规模方面与首都所在地索非亚大区均属全国最大的大区,位于保加利亚中南部，既有山地，又有平原。农作物以小麦为主，蔬菜及水果品种极为丰富。大区的工业门类较齐全，包括重工、化工、机械、皮毛、服装以及计算机等高科技工业部门。

【合作领域】目前，我市与普罗夫迪夫大区在农业、教育领域开展了交流合作。

【Established Date】The friendship-city relations between Tianjin and Plovdiv Region were officially established on October 15, 1989.

【City Characteristics】Plovdiv Region is Bulgaria's second largest region in population and economic scale after Sofia, the capital of the country. The Region is situated in the south-central Bulgaria, comprising mountains and plains. It is abundant with vegetables and fruits and its main crop is wheat. Plovdiv boasts complete industrial categories which include clothing, heavy industry, chemical engineering, leather and fur processing and high-tech industries such as IT and machinery.

【Cooperation Fields】At present, Tianjin and Plovdiv Region carry out exchange activities in the fields of agriculture and education.
