【城市特点】茨瓦内市（原名比勒陀利亚），南非行政首都，南非最大的文化中心。有南非大学、比勒陀利亚大学、工学院、师范学院等多所高等学校，还有南非最大的研究机构科学与工业研究院和著名的兽医及燃料、林业等研究所。茨瓦内市为矿业城市，近郊为金刚石、白金、黄金、锡、铁、铬、煤等矿的开采中心。

【City Characteristics】Tshwane (formerly known as Pretoria) is the administrative capital of South Africa and the largest cultural center in South Africa. There are many institutions of higher learning, such as South African University, Pretoria University, Engineering College, Teachers College, etc., as well as the largest research institution in South Africa, the Institute of Science and Indus- try, and famous veterinary，fuel and forestry research institutes. Tshwane is a mining city whose suburbs are mining centers for diamond, platinum, gold, tin, iron, chromium and coal.
